How to get the best results
Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner
Apply to wet hair and massage gently. Detangle using a curl-friendly brush or comb. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cool water.
Kids’ Detangler + Leave-In Conditioner
Spray liberally onto wet or dry hair. Use a curl-friendly brush to gently work through knots and distribute the product. Scrunch to encourage curl formation and air dry.
Detangling and Styling Brush
Use after applying the Kids Detangler to wet hair, brushing from ends to roots. For even product distribution, brush in small sections after applying styling products. Do not use with heat.
Leave it in
Our Detangler is designed to work as a leave in as well, so save yourself the extra styling step and work with what you got.
Don’t Overdo It
Detangle only as often as needed. For tighter curls or protective styles, once or twice a week is often enough. Over-manipulating curls can cause frizz or stress to the strands.
Try different styling methods
Work in Small Sections
Divide hair into 4-6 sections and secure with clips or scrunchies. Detangle one section at a time, this gives you more control and causes less discomfort.
Start from the Ends, Not the Roots
Always detangle from the ends upward, slowly working your way toward the roots. This prevents tugging and breakage and keeps your child more comfortable.
Scrunch to help style
Cup the hands and gently scrunch up towards the scalp to help encourage those curls to form and set.
Be Patient & Talk Through
Explain each step as you go and offer simple choices, like “Do you want to hold the conditioner?” or “Should we do the back first?” Singing a song, telling a story, or playing their favourite playlist can also help keep the experience calm and fun.
Turn It Into a Game
Let them “choose a curl” to detangle or “earn points” for sitting still during sections. Finish with a compliment or a fun style to make it a positive experience!
